Helm & HideLeather Restoration. Preserve What Matters.
Our Process

How we work, step by step.

No showroom, no fine print you find out about later. Here’s exactly what happens from photo to finished repair.

1. Send Photos

Through the form or WhatsApp - a few clear photos of the damage in normal light.

2. Get a Real Quote

We’ll give you an estimated price and completion time from your photos, which we confirm once we’ve done a physical, in-person inspection.

3. Schedule On-Site

We come to your home, driveway, garage, or business at a time that works for you.

4. Repair & Restoration

Cracks filled, color matched, grain rebuilt to match the surrounding leather - done at the piece’s location whenever possible.

5. Color & Finish Check

We check the match in natural light before calling the job done, not just under a shop lamp.

6. Guarantee

12-month guarantee against cracking, peeling, or finish failure at the repair site - provided the leather gets normal use and stays on the cleaning and protective-coating schedule we recommend at handoff.

Materials & Standards

What actually goes into a repair

Water-Based System

We restore with LeTech's professional Expert Line system - the same water-based polyurethane platform used by trained shops, not general-purpose dyes or finishes sold at craft and hobby stores. That means a dedicated primer for adhesion, colorant mixed and matched to your exact leather, and a topcoat - gloss, matte, or the ultra-matte finish - engineered for how leather actually flexes and wears, not a one-size-fits-all spray can.

Every repair is done by our specialist, certified through LeTech's Advanced Leather Repair & Restoration course (LeTech International, UK / LeTech USA), covering color theory, dye chemistry, fillers, and hands-on finish work.

Questions we get, answered straight

FAQ

Do I have to bring my car or furniture to a shop?
No permanent public shop - we work at your home, garage, or marina. A few complex jobs need a short shop turnaround; we'll tell you upfront if yours is one.

How is my price actually set?
From your photos first, confirmed with a physical inspection before any work starts - never a guess over the phone.

What if the color doesn't match?
We check it in natural daylight before calling the job done, not under a shop lamp.

Do you fix cuts and burns, or just fading?
Both - physical damage repair (cuts, burns, punctures) as well as color and finish restoration.

What we don't do

  • Full reupholstery or replacement - we restore existing leather, and we'll say so honestly if a piece actually needs a full re-cover instead.
  • Phone-quote guesses - every price is confirmed from photos or an inspection.
  • Aviation interiors, for now - no certified aircraft-interior shop partnership yet, so we won't take that job until we do.
  • Overnight shop drop-off, except on the few jobs that specifically need it - and we'll tell you before you book.
